Our bodies turn food into energy. As a result, this produces some by-products, one of them is called free-radicals. Free-radicals are dangerous and can cause harm to our body. Free-radicals are also the primary factor in rapid aging.
We can combat free radicals by consuming antioxidants, and an excellent way of doing this is by drinking green tea.

Green tea has a higher concentration of polyphenols also called Catechins. The catechins in the green tea are one of the active ingredients linked to weight loss. Catechins is also a source of caffeine, which helps your body burn both calories and fat.
According to the Office of Dietary Supplements, you burn nine calories for every 100 milligrams of caffeine you drink.

3. Antibacterial properties for oral health
The Catechins in green tea provides antibacterial properties which inhibit the growth of bacteria and viruses. The catechins help to lower the risk of infections and lead to improvements in oral health.

5. Stimulate hair growth
Green tea inhibits the growth of DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) which hinders hair growth. On the flip side, Green tea contains an antioxidant called EGCG that can stimulate hair growth.

**To stimulate hair follicle:
Wash your hair as normal, massage freshly brewed green tea into your scalp. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse out with cool water. This rinse will stimulate your hair follicles and help prevent scalp problems and dandruff.

*Tip: Try this rinse three times a week for a couple of months to see results.

6. Reduce under eye circle
Place used green tea bag on your eye. The caffeine helps to shrink blood underneath the skin and eliminate darkness around the eye area.
