Nurture Your Hair

I love long hair, it is my mission to grow it past my waist, and I am on my way there. I have always been blessed with long hair, so I don’t do too much to manipulate it to grow. But recently, I have noticed that not doing too much to it is causing it to grow even faster. So in this blog post, I will share some tips you can follow to grow your hair to your waist.

Easy Hair Growth Tips For All Hair Types

Refrain from manipulating your hair too much:  – Keep it in protective styling. It will grow healthily. Constantly touching hair and manipulating your hair by combing, brushing, or always braiding your hair may put pressure and stress on your hair and, most importantly, negatively impact the edges of your hair and cause hair loss or damage. Also, constantly applying heating tools to style your hair may cause damage and breakage. Do not manipulate your hair; instead, put your hair in protective hairstyles, such as ponytails, twists, wash and go, or loose braids. Protective hairstyles for natural hair are vital for the optimal growth and health of the hair.

Detangle your hair with a detangler to remove shed hair: Our hair sheds 50 to 100 hairs a day. When you put your hair in protective styling and keep it styled for at least a month, you will notice a lot of shed hair when you take it down for wash day. Therefore, it is imperative not to be harsh with your hair. Instead, detangle hair gently by using a detangling shampoo or conditioner to help loosen it and avoid pulling out and damaging it. Our hair is very delicate, and we should treat it as such. My favorite shampoo also serves as a detangler for my hair. You can shop for the shampoo here.

Massage your scalp: Weekly scalp massages will help stimulate blood flow to feed nutrients to your scalp, positively impacting your hair. Scalp massage for hair growth is one of the simplest ways to grow your hair. Research shows that frequent scalp massages will lead to thicker hair; a 4-minute hair massage weekly over 24 weeks showed thicker hair than at the beginning. Massaging your scalp also calms and uplifts your overall mood. You may purchase a massager instead of using your fingers.

Wash your hair twice a week with Panthenol-based shampoo: Our top tip is to use a panthenol-based shampoo to wash your hair twice a week to hydrate your hair. Panthenol is a powerful; humectant that can draw moisture from the environment and keep that moisture in your hair hydrated and soft. Hydrated and soft hair will prevent tangling and shedding. In addition, panthenol also acts as an emollient, filling in cracks in your hair shafts and sealing them to prevent hair damage. Shop my go-to panthenol shampoo

Maintain a healthy diet: One of the most important things you can do for your hair is to feed your body the proper diet of vitamins and minerals for healthy hair growth. Our diet, which should be lots of fruits and vegetables, was designed by God to care for our body, skin, hair, and many other parts. With that said, when we take proper nutrition, we don’t need to supplement our skin and hair care with other expensive items. In addition, vitamins and minerals from food play an essential role in the hair follicle growth cycle and cellular turnover. Therefore, consuming a diet lacking vitamins and minerals could lead to hair loss.

Studies suggest that a diet lacking Vitamins B12, D, Biotin, Riboflavin, and Iron is associated with hair loss.
