Homemade face mask are affordable and easy to make. Our skin needs its tender loving care after a week of makeup, touching, rubbing and environmental factors (the wind, smoke, smog, etc.)
Our face needs as much pampering as it can get. With easy and quick homemade face mask, we don’t need to splurge on expensive store mask or salon facials.
Add Face Mask To Your Beauty Regimen
Using face mask should be an important part of our beauty regimen. Whenever applying a face mask, you should do it on a clean and freshly washed face (I will not recommend using face mask right after exfoliating, the face is tender and sensitive at that time). Most face masks are left on the skin for 10-20 minutes, depending on the results you are looking for from the face mask. There are several benefits of using a face mask. Here are some reasons you should include adding a face mask to your beauty regimen.
1. Even Out Skin Tone
Depending on the type of ingredients used, most face masks helps to even out the skin tone giving it a brightening and glowing effect. Try ingredients like Turmeric, Honey, and Lemon.
2. Promote Hydration
If you have dry to combination skin, a hydrating face mask can be helpful in adding the needed moisture your skin needs making it soft and supple. When the skin is hydrated, it makes it easier for skin care ingredients to penetrate, and it is also simpler to apply makeup. Your skin is more plump and firm.
3. Anti-aging Effect
We can all benefit from anti-aging face masks. These types of face masks contain anti-oxidants that are needed to help with the skin’s aging process. Anti-oxidants combat the free radicals (pesky by-products that accelerate the aging process). Antioxidants contribute to minimizing the look of fine lines; they help the skin look younger, smoother, and brighter.
4. Face Masks Help To Draw Out Impurities
People with acne/oily skin should opt for clay face mask. They help to remove excess oil, dirt, and impurities. If you have dry skin, I will advise you to stay away from clay masks as they can draw out the needed moisture and natural oils your skin needs. Opt for a hydrating mask.
