How to get glass skin
Having glass skin is simply having skin that is moisturized and hydrated, healthy, and glowing. Furthermore, glass skin is plump, smooth-looking, and dewy. To achieve glass skin some essential skincare steps to implement in your daily regimen will help you achieve the glass skin ‘look’ quickly. But most importantly, it’s about having healthy and youthful-looking skin.
To achieve the glass skin look, here are some easy steps to incorporate into your skincare regimen, and I will include some of the best skincare products to use to achieve glass skin.
How To Get Glass Skin
When it comes to achieving glass skin, you do not need tons of products to get that clear and radiant skin; instead, you need some foundational ingredients to help you achieve a clear and dewy complexion.
Cleansing: When cleansing your skin, using ingredients that will put moisture and hydration into your skin is vital. Opt for ingredients such as amino acids, hyaluronic acid, or lactic acid-infused cleansers to wash your face twice daily. All these ingredients have humectant properties, and they help to attract water from the atmosphere into your skin to keep it hydrated and supple. One of my favorite cleansers is the Kimtrue Amino Acid cleanser – it cleanses the skin, hydrates, and gives you clear skin.
Toner: A toner is formulated to help further cleans your skin, hydrate your skin, and adjust your skin’s pH back to normal after cleansing. When it comes to achieving glass skin, your number one objective is to hydrate your skin to keep it looking dewy and supple. A hydrating toner you can use is Thayers Rose Water toner.
Essence: An essence is a cross between a toner and a serum. One of my favorite essences is the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence.
Cosrx snail mucin essence contains 96% snail secretion (which contains glycosaminoglycans); this helps your skin lose less moisture.
Like popular hyaluronic acid, snail secretion, which contains glycosaminoglycans, can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water.
In addition, Glycosaminoglycans occur naturally in the dermis of your skin.
Also, Cosrx advanced snail 96 mucin power essence contains Copper Binding Peptides.
AHA/BHA Serum: After you complete the first three steps in this skincare regimen, you want to incorporate an AHA/BHA Serum to help exfoliate your skin and help with skin cell turnover. Exfoliating your skin is vital in achieving glass skin because exfoliating your skin removes dead skin cells and causes your skin to look clear and radiant. Also, exfoliating your skin helps to fade acne scars and hyperpigmentation. My favorite AHA/BHA Serum is Dr. Jarts Radiance Peel – The first time after applying this serum, you will see your skin glowing instantly.
Antioxidant Serum: Apply an antioxidant serum to help protect your skin cells from harmful free radicals that can cause your skin to age prematurely. Choose a Ferulic Acid + Vitamin E serum to moisturize your skin, protect your skin from free radicals, and restore elasticity; plus, ferulic acid helps to brighten your skin.
Ceramide Moisturizer: Ceramides are lipids that makeup 50% of the skin’s composition to form the natural skin barrier. Ceramides are the “glue” that holds our skin cells together and keeps the skin healthy.
A healthy skin barrier keeps hydration inside while keeping impurities out of the skin. My favorite ceramide cream is the Dr. Zenovia Peptide + Ceramide cream; it keeps your skin radiant, firm, and young.
Sunscreen: Sunscreen is formulated with zinc to help the sun’s rays bounce off your skin. When you apply sunscreen on your skin, it serves as a shield and blocks the sun from absorbing into your skin, protecting your skin and preventing sun damage on your skin. You can shop Jan Marini Sunscreen; it has antioxidants that help to give your skin total maximum protection and benefits.
Following these skincare steps will give you glass skin and leave your skin dewy, supple, and younger-looking in no time.
