Neostrata has launched its new Tone Correcting Illuminating Serum. Neostrata Enlighten Tone Correcting Illuminating Serum is a vitamin c serum that actively targets dark spots and uneven skin tone.
You can use this serum if you have oily, dry, normal, combination, or sensitive skin type. It is gentle to the skin and does not cause any irritation to the skin.
This Tone Correcting Illuminating Serum is formulated with Neostrata’s patented ingredient Neoglucosamine 4%, and other ingredients such as licorice extract, niacinamide, vitamin c, 7 alpine plant extract, and peptides.
Here Are The Benefits Of The Active Ingredients In Neostrata Illuminating Serum
Neoglucosamine 4%: This is a proprietary blend that increases cell turnover to exfoliate and fade existing skin discoloration.
Licorice Extract: Licorice extract has skin brightening effects, fades blemishes, and has antioxidant properties. It contains glabridin, which inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme necessary for melanin production. Licorice extract works to fade acne scars and hyperpigmentation, and existing acne scars.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Niacinamide, also known as vitamin b3, is a water-soluble vitamin. It works by minimizing large pores, improve uneven skin tone, and balance the oil in the skin. It softens fine lines and wrinkles to slow down the aging process. Niacinamide works to build and retain the skin barrier to help hold moisture in the skin. It treats hyperpigmentation and is a powerful antioxidant that treats acne as well. Use together with licorice extract to inhibit the transfer of melanin to the skin cells of the epidermis, thereby fading acne scars and hyperpigmentation.
Vitamin C: Vitamin C works to neutralize and remove oxidants from the skin. Vitamin c helps to inhibit the melanin process, which in turn fades hyperpigmentation and acne scars. The speed of cell turnover reveals new skin cells and helps to speed collagen and elastin production.
7 Alpine Plant Extract: 7 Alpine Plant Extract is a botanical blend of 7 Alpine Plant plant brighteners: Mallow Extract, Peppermint Leaf Extract, Cowslip Extract, Lady’s Mantle Extract, Lemon Balm Leaf Extract, and Yarrow Extract. This unique plant blend brightens and clarifies the skin. It helps to reduce tyrosinase and melanin production.
Peptides: Peptides are proteins (Building blocks) amino acids that make specific proteins for the skin. Peptides help to stimulate collagen in the skin. Peptides help build skin barriers, reduce wrinkles, stimulate elastin, soothe skin, and fight acne.
These ingredients work together to fight free radicals, fade acne scars and hyperpigmentation, stimulate collagen and elastin and smooth your skin texture.
My Thoughts On Neostrata Enlighten Tone Correcting Illuminating Serum
I like this facial serum. I use it once a day during the daytime because I use retinol at night, and retinol and vitamin c don’t blend well. I like that it comes with an air-tight bottle pump to keep air and moisture out to keep the product fresh until the last drop. The texture is slimy-like, just like if you have used a snail mucin product, it has that same consistency. A little bit goes a long way, and it readily absorbs into the skin. After you apply it, it has a sticky feel on the skin, but when I use my moisturizer, that sticky feel disappears, and your skin is matte, soft, and glowing.
I have noticed how clear my skin looks. My skin looks bright and radiant, and smooth. My skin texture is clear and soft; my pores look smaller.
