I spoke with Him daily through prayer, studying the Word, and fasting. And over time, I was able to hear Him clearly. As a result, my relationship with Him has grown, and I have had peace of mind since I surrendered to Him and agreed to His will for my life. A lot has changed for me, including my mental and emotional well-being. When I started my relationship with God, I suffered from unhealthy fear, bad anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and low self-confidence. But ever since I have drawn closer to God, He taught me how to overcome the bad mental health I was suffering from – and today, I can unequivocally say I am healed. I experience more joy, peace of mind, calm, tranquility, and overall peace. 
  • Staying in the present: It is vital to stay in the present. Worrying will only cause you anxiety and also take your joy away. Most people worry because they are thinking ahead to the future and how to solve issues they may not have solutions to solve. One thing I learned in my relationship with God is to surrender my problems to Him because He has the answers to all my problems. And doing that took a lot of pressure off me, and it has allowed me to stay in the present and enjoy the moment I am in without focusing on the future. 
  • Practice active breathing: Practicing active breathing is very good for the mind and body. Taking the time to focus on your breathing helps to focus on the moment and allows you to focus on your environment. It is more like releasing all the pressure and cleansing the body with the air you breathe in and out. 
  • Spend time in nature or the ocean: There is a reason why nature is so soothing. Our body was made to spend time In nature and also the sea. The natural sounds of the ocean or rainfall are a great white noise that soothes and calm the mind. Spending time in nature lowers cortisol and produces endorphins to reduce anxiety and depression.
