First of all, I am In love with this leave-in treatment for so many reasons which I will point out at the end of the post, but before I get to that, a little background of this fantastic hair product.
This is a new product from the Shea Moisture brand, and In my honest opinion, I think they did well on this product. I usually go for their body oils that double as a massage oil, and I love the way the oil makes my skin feel smooth and soft.

So, back to the reasons why I love this leave-in treatment.
1. It has a fantastic slip and moisturizes my hair without leaving my hair heavily coated and weight down.
2. I noticed that after day two of using this leave-in treatment, my hair was still very soft and easy to comb through, now mind you, I have very thick curly kinky hair, so my hair is not always very manageable unless I spritz some water into my hair first. With this treatment, I didn’t have use water to soften my hair before combing because my hair was still soft from me using the treatment 2 days prior.
3. I noticed less shedding when I combed through my hair, I was surprised because, with the kind of hair that I have, my hair is prone to shedding rather easily so if this product is going to take care of that issue, then I am sold!
4. I love that this treatment also protects against heat. Even though I don’t use heat on my hair frequently, I think It’s safe to say that you can go from washing your hair to adding the leave-in treatment, to blow drying and using a flat iron knowing that your hair is heat protected. It also helps your hair fight environmental damage.
5. OK! So the smell of this leave-in treatment, oh my goodness. The first day I used the hair product, I immediately noticed the smell and loved it. It has a deep woodsy smell to it, almost like an autumn perfume scent and almost like a man’s cologne; but I love the smell. So after apply and styling my hair, I went out and sitting on the train I will get a whiff of a sweet smelling scent, and I will wonder who had dowsed themselves in all that cologne. I realized that everywhere I went I will smell the same scent until I realized that Omg, It’s my hair!! The smell stayed with me for a while, I woke up the next day and laying in bed I still smelled the scent of the product.
