We live in a beautiful and captivating world, and God created this world for us to enjoy and explore. He has made wonders of the world specifically for our senses to indulge In, such as our eyes to behold the beauty of a waterfall and our nose to smell the flowers in a garden. 

Traveling to explore the world’s beauty is therapeutic. I hope that more of us will have the opportunity to visit tranquil and serene places, not for social media posts but for the memories and awe of what God has created.

I will write about some exotic and awe-looking places you may want to visit in your lifetime.

Blue Ridge Mountain: Blue Ridge Mountain is part of the Appalachian mountain range. They extend 550 miles in the Eastern part of the United States, including parts of Georgia, South Carolina, and Noth Carolina—also, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia—lastly, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

What Gives The Mountain Its Distinctive Color?

The beautiful blue color that emits around the mountain is because of an organic compound called Isoprene. When the atmosphere releases hydrocarbon, it creates a distinctive lingering haze that looks blue from a distance. Hence, the gorgeous ‘blue haze’ surrounding the mountains gives it its name Blue Ridge Mountain. 

While visiting, you may visit famous scenic parkways, eateries, and attractions.

Blue Ridge Parkway Virginia: Meandering 469 miles from Shenandoah National Park in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Parkway, also known as “America’s Favorite Drive,” follows the Appalachian Mountains and boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.

The Blue Ridge Parkway experience is unlike any other: a slow-paced and relaxing drive revealing stunning long-range vistas and close-up views of the rugged mountains and pastoral landscapes of the Appalachian Highlands. 

At 469 miles, this scenic drive winds along the Blue Ridge Mountains and offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy some of the best mountain views in the world. 

Swiss Alps: The Swiss Alps are positioned at the crossroads of France, Germany, Austria, and Italy. To enjoy the scenic views of the Swiss Alps, you should visit Interlaken and the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It is a timeless favorite, where the peaks of Eiger, Jungfraujoch, and Schilthorn mark ‘the top of Europe.’ Bucket listers (and Disney fans) might want to capture that perfect shot of the Matterhorn from Zermatt.

Peyto Lake Canada: This lake has a unique glacier-fed waterway in a valley known for its bright turquoise water & scenic beauty. The lake itself is near the Icefields Parkway. It was named for Bill Peyto, an early trail guide and trapper in the Banff area. What is so special about this lake is its turquoise blue waters attract hordes of nature lovers and photography enthusiasts – the view from the lookout is spectacular!

Meeru Island Maldives: Meeru Island is an island on the easternmost tip of North Malé Atoll in the Maldives. It is located South West of Sri Lanka on the equator, some 50 kilometers from the capital Male. Meeru Island Resort, surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and long stretches of white, sandy beach, is the only Resort on Meerufenfushi, North Male’ Atoll island.

Aurora Borealis Iceland: You can see northern lights in Iceland during any winter month, from September to April. Aurora borealis appears during the night when the sky is dark and clear. It is said that the highest chance to see them is around midnight. Iceland is one of the best places in the world to see the aurora borealis or northern lights. The aurora borealis only appears in the Northern hemisphere.

What Causes The Northern Lights?

The Northern Lights result from collisions between gaseous particles in the Earth’s atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun’s atmosphere. Color variations are due to the type of gas particles that are colliding.

Grand Canyon: The Grand Canyon in Arizona is a natural formation distinguished by layered bands of red rock, revealing millions of years of geological history in cross-section. Vast in scale, the Canyon averages 10 miles across and a mile deep along its 277-mile length. Much of the area is a national park, with Colorado River white-water rapids and sweeping vistas. The Grand Canyon touches four states: Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. Therefore, The most accessible and popular states to see the Canyon are the Grand Canyon in Arizona (South Rim) and Nevada (West Rim).

When Is The Best Time To Visit The Grand Canyon? 

Spring and Fall (the “shoulder seasons”) are often considered the best times of year to visit the Grand Canyon because daytime temperatures are typically lower and crowds are generally thinner.

Morain Lake Canada: Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometers outside the hamlet of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 1,884 meters. The lake has a surface area of 50 hectares. This glacier-fed lake becomes the most intense and vivid shade of turquoise blue. 

Florida Keys: The Florida Keys are a string of tropical islands stretching about 120 miles off the southern tip of the U.S. state of Florida, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. They’re known as a destination for fishing, boating, snorkeling, and scuba diving. The southernmost city of Key West is famous for Duval Street’s many bars, Mallory Square’s nightly Sunset Celebration, and the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum. The Florida Keys is the best destination in Florida to escape and connect with ocean life.

Mount Of Olives: The Mount of Olives or Mount Olivet is a mountain ridge east of and adjacent to Jerusalem’s Old City. It is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes. The southern part of the mount was the Silwan necropolis, attributed to the elite of the ancient Kingdom of Judah. Mount of Olives is one of Jerusalem’s most historically significant areas and top attractions worth visiting.
