Regarding a skincare routine, I always encourage my clients to opt for the best skincare ingredients for their skin issues. Using the right ingredients most assuredly means you will solve the skin issue you are battling.

Examples Of Skin Issues And The Best Ingredient To Use

Acne: Dead skin cells, hormones, sebum, acne-causing bacteria, clogged pores, and dirt are the causes of acne. When dead skin cells, sebum, and acne form in the pores, it blocks them and causes inflammation which then causes acne to form. So, to prevent acne means to make sure you keep the pores clean. Salicylic acid is a fantastic ingredient that does the work. In addition, salicylic acid gently exfoliates the skin to remove dead skin cells; it balances the oils in the skin. Also, it goes deep into the pores to remove debris and acne-plug. Also, if your acne is hormonal, I suggest you try Dr. Zenovia’s hormonal acne treatment; it works very well.

Acne Scars: Acne scars happen when the acne site has inflammation, and the body works to heal the inflammation. The body rushes collagen and melanin to the acne site for treatment, and sometimes it may send too much or too little collagen, and this may cause discoloration and acne scar. In addition, when it comes to acne scars, there are two mechanics to fade them. First, you may opt for melanin-inhibiting ingredients or exfoliating ingredients. For example, you may opt for azelaic acid, kojic acid, alpha arbutin, or retinol for melanin-inhibiting ingredients. Also, for exfoliating ingredients, you may opt for glycolic acid, lactic acid, bromelain, papain, mandelic acid, or salicylic acid.

Dehydrated Skin: The difference between dehydrated and dry skin is that dehydrated skin lacks water while dry skin lacks oils. To treat dehydrated skin, you may need to switch to ingredients that infuse moisture into the skin. Also, dehydrated skin may be a sign of an unhealthy skin barrier. Some signs your skin barrier may be unhealthy are if your skin is dehydrated, inflamed skin, sensitive, stinging, flaky, and overproducing oils. So to treat dehydrated skin, you may opt for hyaluronic acid, squalane, argan oil, ceramides, aloe vera, amino acids, snail mucin, and honey.
